This edition started with a fantastic performance titled ‘Kaghazi Hai Pairahan’ written by Ismat Chughtai. The beautiful artwork was performed by Dr. Brijeshwar Singh’s repertory Rang Vinayak Rang Mandal. The festival witnessed a total of seven plays.
Kaghazi Hai Pairahan, written by Ismat Chughtai was the first show of the festival. It was performed by the artists of Dr. Brijeshwar Singh’s repertory Rang Vinayak Rang Mandal, Bareilly. It was followed by Loitering directed by Satchit Puranik and performed by NCPA Edge & Sur Entertainment. The next show was Piano. It is adaptation of a Hungarian Drama by Ferenc Karinthy. The play was adapted, directed and performed by Raghuvir Yadav of Ryra Repertoire, Mumbai. It was followed by Bada Bhand To Bada Bhand, a play adapted from Vijaydan Detha’s “Rijak ki Maryada”. The play was adapted, directed and performed by Ajay Kumaar.
The next show of the festival was Main Hoon Yusuf, Yeh Hai Mera Bhai. It has been directed by Mohit Takalkar. The show was performed by Aasakta, Pune. It was followed by Maila Aanchal, written by Phanishwar Nath Renu. The play was adapted and directed by Surendra Sharma. It was performed by Rang Saptak, New Delhi. The festival culminated with Dhumrapan, written by Adhir Bhat and directed by Akash Khurana. It was performed by D for Drama, Mumbai.
