Birdflight is a solo play that follows the story of Anjali Thomas as she comes to grips with fresh adulthood with all its accompanying worries. In a world marked with unprecedented levels of uncertainty, what does it mean to embark on one of the most uncertain periods of your own life? Anjali grapples with the ideas of mortality, home and belonging as she moves out of home. She is also a visual artist who is dealing with the frustration of a creative block and an empathy overdraw. As she meets new people and has new experiences, we chart her slowly evolving relationship with the world around her. Her relationship with her family, friends, art and herself are all explored through various metaphors that drive the play.
