This edition of the theatre festival offered a fantastic mix of classic and modern plays. A total of 10 plays were staged in the festival. Hidden in Plain Sight, performed by Mallika Prasad, written, directed and designed by Mallika Prasad and Ram Ganesh Kamatham was the first show of this edition. It was followed by Samjhouta, a story by Gajanan Madhav Muktibodh. The dramatization was done by Suman Kumar. It was designed and directed by Pravin Kumar. The play was performed by artists from The Fact Rangmandal.
MohanDas (A Modern Classic), based on the story by Uday Prakash and directed by Rajinder Nath was the next show. It was followed by Ram Sajeevan Ki Prem Katha, directed by Saurabh Nayyar and Nitin Bharadwaj, and performed by Prasad Sonalikar(D for Drama, Mumbai).
The festival went on with Gasha, written by Irawati Karnik, conceived and directed by Abhishek Majumdar. It was performed by Indian Ensemble, Bengaluru.
Bechara Maara Gaya, adapted from Dario Fo’s ‘Accidental Death of an Anarchist’ and dramatized by Chanakya Bhardwaj was the next show. It was directed by Ashwini Kumar Chakre. Piya Behrupiya, a Hindi translation of Shakespeare’s ‘Twelfth Night’ was the next show. It was directed by Atul Kumar. Rang Abhang, written by Asif Ali and directed by Gaurav Sharma was the next show of the festival. It was performed by the artists of Dr. Brijeshwar Singh’s repertory Rang Vinayak Rang Mandal, Bareilly. Kusar Phusar, a Hindi adaptation of Neil Simon’s ‘Rumors’, designed and directed by Kuljeet Singh was the next show of the festival. It was performed by artists of the Atelier Theatre Repertory Production, Delhi. Veer Abhimanyu was the last show of the festival. Based on the script by Pandit Radheyshyam Kathawachak, the play was directed by Ambuj Kukreti. It was performed by the artists of Dr. Brijeshwar Singh’s repertory Rang Vinayak Rang Mandal, Bareilly.
