This year witnessed a fantastic theatre festival loaded with 11 mesmerising plays. Apart from great artists from across the country, stalwarts such as Sunil Shanbag and Neelam Mansingh came up with amazing shows. The festival started with Ajab Shaher Mein Rang Mahal Mein. It was directed by Danish Khan and performed by the artists of Rang Vinayak Rang Mandal, Bareilly. It was followed by Naga Mandala, written by Girish Karnad and directed by Neelam Mansingh. It was performed by The Compnay, Chandigarh.
The next show was Fired by Hamlet, written by Prof. Michael Moritz and directed by Michael Moritz. It was performed by Theatre Garage Project Group, New Delhi.
Stories in a Song was the next play of the festival. It was conceived by Shubha Mudgal and directed by Sunil Shanbag. The play was performed by Arpana & Underscore Records, Mumbai. It was followed by Baada (The Slaughter House), written by Mahashweta Devi and directed by Sajida. It was performed by Treasure Art Association, New Delhi.
The next show of the festival was Camera Obscuras, written and directed by Vinay Sharma, and performed by Padatik Theatre Group, Kolkata. It was followed by Yahaan, written and directed by Vinay Sharma. Jana Tha Roshanpura was the next play. It is written by Samta Sagar and directed by Virendra Saxena. The play was performed by Qissago Theatre Group, Mumbai. Kahan Gare Mere Ugna was the next show. It is written by Usha Kiran Khan and directed by Sanjay Upadhyay. The play was performed by Nirman Kala Manch, Patna. It was followed by Mukaam Dehru Jilaa Nagaur, written by Paresh Mokashi and directed by Mohit Takalkar. The show was performed by Ujaaagar Dramatic Association, Jaipur. Chandalika was the last show of the festival. It is written by Rabindra Nath Tagore and directed by Usha Ganguly. The show was performed by Rangkarmee Theatre Group, Kolkata.
