When the human race was facing its worst crisis in over a century and the magnitude of the collapse of everything around us was unlike anything we had experienced in our lifetime, Ajanubahu found himself confined within the four walls of his room. Zindagi Zara Si Hai unfolds his irresistible childhood phobia that looms large and overpowers him during the great lockdown.
Ajanu suffers more from his memories than his terrible present. Nightmares dance before his eyes. It is only when he looks at the damage done by COVID-19 does he realize the reality of what is happening to the world.
The play talks about how Ajanu’s deep sense of loneliness and longing drives him to the ultimate realization that we need not travel to the ends of the universe to experience a pale blue dot i.e., the mother earth for ourselves.
